The “tolerant” and “inclusive” left that always labels Republicans as “Racist” showed absolute tolerance on Wednesday by attacking Republican California Gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder and his staff while campaigning in Venice.
A woman wearing a blackface gorilla mask who also had pink hair (surprise, surprise) darted an egg in Larry Elder’s direction. The 69-year-old candidate was thankfully unharmed and was immediately rushed to his vehicle that was standing by. A member of Elder’s security detail was later punched in the face by the same woman and confronted by her fellow protestors.
As of posting this article, no one was arrested or charged for the assault on a frontrunner Gubernatorial candidate
Elder took to Twitter after this attempted attack to describe similar attacks that his campaign has faced in the Los Angeles area alone.
“Today I kicked off the Recall Express bus tour. Before we even left Los Angeles, my security detail was physically assaulted, shot with a pellet gun, and hit with projectiles. The intolerant left will not stop us. We will recall Gavin Newsom. We will save California.”
Many, including some Democrat supporters, are pointing out that if it were a Black Democrat candidate that was attacked by a white person wearing a gorilla mask, they would be immediately charged with hate crime. But because Elder is a Republican, the attackers face no consequences.
The recall election in California will be held on September 14th which is right around the corner. Over two million Californians have signed the petition to get rid of the incumbent Democrat governor Gavin Newsom. A third of this demographic consists of Independents and even Democrats who voted for Newsom two years ago.
Larry Elder went of Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight on Thursday to respond to this attack. He joked that the woman who attacked him and his staff might be one of the 20,000 people who were released early from prisons under Governor Newsom’s administration.
So far, no Democrat official either in the State of California or in Congress has condemned this attack on the 69-year-old candidate.
